Orion’s Quest is bringing seven time Space Shuttle Astronaut, Colonel Jerry Ross to Detroit!  Joining him will be authors, teacher trainers-practitioners Susan Gunderson and Marjorie Sprunger.

Focus: Using a non-fiction picture book, Becoming a Spacewalker: My Journey to the Stars, as a context for teaching for comprehension strategies while exploring STEM concepts.

Presenters: Susan Gunderson and Marge Sprunger from Purdue University.

  • Audience: Classroom teachers (K-8) from the Detroit and surrounding School Districts
  • This wonderful opportunity is provided free of charge!
